U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy & Frank - 1995
It has been said: “Politics & Religion” are two topics that folks should steer clear away from. Early on, I learned in both camps you will offend 50% no matter what you discuss. Ironically, both have been my passion and profession. Today, I still believe the things we need to talk about the most we often ‘”sweep under the rug” and talk about the least.
For those that may not know, I had the pleasure to work 17 years on Capitol Hill in various congressional capacities while being a bi-vocational minister. This week, regardless of political persuasion we lost a giant in the United States Congress and America lost the liberal lion of the U.S. Senate, The Honorable Edward M. Kennedy. Regardless of political parties I was blessed to grow as friends with the icon, institution and individual.
In April 1995, I was appointed by the Senate Sergeant at Arms to work as a bi-partisan figure on the floor of the United States Senate. It was a JOY to work with all 100 U.S. Senators. It is an honor to work for one Senator but I had the high honor to serve and interact with all of them. Half the day I worked on the Republican side and the other half on the Democratic aisle. When I was age 23 (1995), I was considered the youngest in modern memory to work on the floor of the United States Senate. During that time, I had the privilege to meet the likes of Senator Bob Dole (R-KS), Senator John Glenn (D-OH), Sen. Strom Thurmond (R-SC), Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-WVA), Sen. Trent Lott (R- MS) and of course the late Senator Ted Kennedy.
We had some great times on the floor of the U.S. Senate. One day, Senator Kennedy approached me and asked to borrow my VISA card only to pretend that it was his Social Security card and gave a rousing speech on the floor as C-Span aired it to the world. When we first met I told him my name was Frank Shelton and a couple days later despite the world on his mind he walked by and in front of everyone paused and said: “Hey Frank - good to see you.” I was floored that one of the most powerful senators remembered my name.
Kennedy was a crowd favorite (perhaps because of his rich heritage, thick irish accent, the political dynasty, an heir of Camelot) regardless folks loved to see Senator Kennedy. Most of the United States Senators are unknown to the general public but Kennedy was known by almost everyone. He had that powerful voice that folks sat on the edge of their seat when he spoke. He was passionate and a great orator. One may not agree with everything he said but no doubt, he was a powerful presence and a voice to those that were kept silent. Since childhood, I was taught to look for the best in others. Too often, we are remembered for our worse deed or moment but fail to cherish, celebrate and consider others in their finest hour.
None of us live perfect lives but the only thing I can say is that he was very gracious to me. Our job is to love people and God alone judges. This weekend, America will bury one of her own and Massachussetts will bury one of its most beloved sons. Today, I pray for Senator Edward M Kennedy’s family because I still believe people are more important than political parties. My prayer is that liberal lion of the Senate is now lying down with the Lamb of God. It was an honor to serve God and Country working with men and women like Senator Edward M. Kennedy and watch Democracy unfold on a daily basis. To this day, the United States Capitol Building is my favorite place. It is appropriately called “The People’s Building.”
Today, my heart is heavy for his family but grateful to God to meet the man who seemed “larger than life” but was down to Earth to serve the common man, fight for his convictions and took time to say “hi” to a goof-ball like me. God bless America & God bless Senator Kennedy.
Tony Nolan is one of the most gifted preachers of the Gospel that I know. He is former Student Minister at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, GA and he stepped out “by faith” to speak to hundreds of thousands of people annually. The beauty about that transition is that Tony didn’t see all those open doors when he jumped. He just heard the voice of God and when the Lord told him to “go” - Tony was gone!
Today, Tony loves the Lord and lives faith as much as anyone I know. He is a dear friend, brother in Christ, captivating communicator and has taken the time to invest in me and countless others lives and ministries. When I first left my Capitol Hill job after 17 years “by faith” to enter evangelism full-time the first person I called to ask for counsel, prayer and guidance was Tony Nolan. By God’s grace, Tony answered his cell phone and encouraged me to trust the Lord and take comfort - “When God guides - He provides!”
What I love about Tony is that he is accessible, approachable and available to share the Gospel of Jesus with anyone willing to listen. In love, he also shares with folks who could care less. Ministry is not easy but it has been easier for God putting folks like Tony Nolan in my life. He is real, relevant and rolls on all cylinders for Jesus! He is humorous, humble and Heaven-bound.
Tony is the tour pastor for countless Christian Contemporary Music Artists and he speaks annually at WINTER JAM and other concerts. He was tour pastor for a couple years with Grammy Winners - CASTING CROWNS and his testimony is AMAZING. Tony is on fire for the Lord because he doesn’t take for granted God’s great grace.
This interview aired earlier in the year on my radio program ‘FRANKLY SPEAKING’ on American Family Radio on 89.7 FM in Richmond, VA and it talks about evangelism, serving the Lord and living a life bigger than self. Tony is quick to build people UP and slow to negativity and I have been blessed to meet a few folks in life but Brother Tony is a special brother and one of those I admire most. Recently, he and his wife, Tammy adopted a precious girl from China and to learn more about Tony’s AWESOME ministry visit - www.TonyNolan.org

Evangelist Billy Graham praying for souls at invitation
After wonderful things were said about him, Dr. Graham stepped to the rostrum, looked at the crowd, and said, “I’m reminded today of Albert Einstein, the great physicist who this month has been honored by Time magazine as the Man of the Century. Einstein was once traveling from Princeton on a train when the conductor came down the aisle, punching the tickets of every passenger. When he came to Einstein, the famed scientist reached in his vest pocket. He couldn’t find his ticket, so he reached in his trouser pockets. It wasn’t there, so he looked in his briefcase but couldn’t find it. Then he looked in the seat beside him. He still couldn’t find it.
The conductor said, “Dr. Einstein, I know who you are. We all know who you are! I’m sure you bought a ticket. Don’t worry about it.” Einstein nodded appreciatively. The conductor continued down the aisle punching tickets. As he was ready to move to the next car, he turned around and saw the great physicist down on his hands and knees looking under his seat for his ticket.
The conductor rushed back and said, “Dr. Einstein, Dr. Einstein, don’t worry, I know who you are. No problem. You don’t need a ticket. I’m sure you bought one.” Einstein looked at him and said, “Young man, I too, know who I am. What I don’t know is where I’m going??’”
Having said that Billy Graham continued, “See the suit I’m wearing? It’s a brand new suit. My wife, my children, and my grandchildren are telling me I’ve gotten a little slovenly in my old age. I used to be a bit more fastidious. So I went out and bought a new suit for this luncheon and one more occasion.
You know what that occasion is? In his deep baritone, southern drawl he said: “This is the suit in which I’ll be buried. But when you hear I’m dead, I don’t want you to immediately remember the suit I’m wearing. I want you to remember this: “I not only know who I am…….I also know where I’m going!”
Friends, one day you will read in the local paper that “Billy Graham is dead.” Don’t believe it for one second because I will be more alive then than anytime in my life when I stand before Jesus.” Friend, do you know where your going when you die? Elvis Presley & Rick Stanley (in car)
Ironically, I just saw him perform ten concerts before his passing. My father phoned my mother and he heard at work that Elvis had passed. Like Paul Revere on horseback screaming “The British are Coming, the British are coming” - ironically, I got word and ran up and down my street on the sidewalk yelling: “Elvis is dead - Elvis is dead.” When asked how he died, I said: “I don’t know - maybe he fell off the stage.” The irony looking back was I didn’t even stay in the house long enough to hear how he died but I just knew I had to share with the world that “The King” was gone.
In my house, Elvis was huge. Graceland was BIG and Elvis was larger than life. My father’s friend was personal friends with Presley and Elvis even gave him a Cadillac. To me, Elvis had charisma, charm and countless talent. He was patriotic and personality personified and when he walked it was poetry in motion. He had incredible stage presence, even better voice and a God given gift that made one think he was singing directly to you (even if seated at top row of a ten thousand seat arena). Gospel Great J.D. Sumner was correct when he said: “After singing Gospel music for over four decades - I heard them all and in my opinion, NO ONE sang a Gospel song like Elvis Presley.” Ironically, the “King of Rock N Roll” never won a Grammy for his rock music but he won three for his Gospel albums. I have always said: “Promote the Lord and the Lord will promote you!” Elvis despite his problems was one in a million and he constantly gave to others. He also knew his gift was from God. Recently, I had the high honor to grow as friends with Elvis Presley’s stepbrother, Evangelist Rick Stanley.
Rick came at my request and did a three service revival in my hometown in March 2009, at First Baptist Church of Accokeek, MD. He was incredible, humble and powerful. Three amazing attributes. I know his brother would be proud but even greater, Jesus is proud of Rick. He was also gracious to be a “call in” guest on my radio show “FRANKLY SPEAKING” the month before the revival and it was a blessing to hear him share about his experiences with Elvis but also his passion for preaching the Gospel of Jesus.
Rick was one of the last people to ever have a full conversation with Elvis the night he died and you can listen firsthand what that conversation was about. Elvis said to young Ricky Stanley (who was not a believer at the time) noted: “Ricky, it is the people who tell you about Jesus are the one’s that really care for you. Man, you have to listen to what they have to say.” A couple hours later - ELVIS was dead.
Thirty years later, similar to that childhood boy after hearing the news that “The King was dead” I still storm out of my house, run up and down the streets of my hometown and across America with even greater passion. Today, it is not that the king died (Elvis) but that the King lives (Jesus). Today, in my house and parent’s home for us - Jesus is HUGE, Heaven is BIG and my Lord is larger than life.
In honor of Elvis passing today below is my interview with Elvis’ brother. God bless Elvis Presley, God bless America and God bless you.
In case you don’t know, I am one of the biggest Sylvester Stallone fans this side of the Mississippi. It was my honor to meet Sly at age 13, in Hollywood, CA and then be an “extra” nearly 20 years to the date in 2005, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as I sat ringside as he filmed: “ROCKY BALBOA.” Yes, this is a Christian blog but I revere and respect both “Rambo” and “Rocky.” Why? For starters, both characters fought for freedom, filled with faith and passion for “God & Country.” Rambo fought outside the ring and Rocky fought inside but both realized that ideals are worth fighting for and yes, like it or not: “Life is a Fight.” One mistake we have made in church today is that we act like we are not at war. Well, in case you missed the memo we are on two fronts. War abroad and war within.
More on the movie nostalgia in the future but the truths I would like to extract for this post packs a powerful punch from the third installment of the “ROCKY” saga. The theatrical trailer reminds viewers the point blank assessment from his mentor and manager, Mickey that rocked Rocky like no opponent in the ring. Mickey noted in Balboa’s palatial mansion: “Kid, the worse thing that could happen to any fighter - happened to you - “YOU GOT CIVILIZED.”
The best people on the planet to be around are those who just trusted Christ as Savior. For them, losing is not an option, “all things are possible,” moutains are moved in their midst, God still saves and rejoicing comes more frequently than retreating. But somehow, somewhere, someone threw “cold water” on their buring fire for Jesus and was told that it was not proper, professional or practical to be sold out for their Savior. Pharisees and back row Baptists told them to calm down, shut up and chill out. Sad but true. Some backslid, others gave up, scores confused and some cursed the church and left to never return. For many who rode out the storm, were so badly beaten by “friendly fire” that they too lost their edge and “eye of the tiger” to live for the Lamb of God.
It is one thing when your mentor and coach tells you to your face, point-blank and pulls no punches that you are “civilized,” not as sharp, nor on all cylinders. If that doesn’t rock your world or light your fire than your wood is wet. This stinging statement should really get one’s attention. However, when the Lord personally remindes us in Scripture (Revelation) that we have been wasting time, wasting punches and worse - wasting His time we really need to re-evaluate where we are at. Jesus said: “You are neither hot nor cold and He would spit us out of His mouth.”
Friend, I am the eternal optimist and I believe the best days are still ahead. However, the things we need to talk about the most - sadly, are often talked about the least (even in Christian circles). This blog will always be broadcasted in love but I will not post posts that don’t have truth and teeth to them. We need to highlight where we may wrong and also shine a light on things we got right. Today, is a mixture of both. Too often, the Church has tried so hard to accomodate the world that at times we have come close to leaving the Lord outside. What do I mean? Today, countless churches across America can be found “having a form of godliness but denying the Power of God.” What that is saying in modern english is we have religion and rhetoric but restricted the Redeemer in our religious routines.
We “play” church but at times fail to be the church. Many Ministers have bought the lie that “crowds” equate success. Therefore, we have succeeded at “building a church” but were “knocked-out” when it came to leading the lost to the Lord or making authentic disciples. This is a broad statement so no offense should be taken unless it applies to you. The GOOD NEWS is that God still gives grace, forgiveness is still found in Jesus and today is a new day - repent and don’t make the same mistakes tomorrow in ministry.
The reasons we resemble Rocky on the ropes at times is because we have forsaken our first love. Scores are preaching a “cross-less” Christianity. Worse, a “Christ-less” Christianity and folks fail to remind millions of faithful followers that following Christ comes with a cost. It is more than prosperity but the reality that Christ is coming again! We need to store up our treasures up there NOT down here. Many who are first now will be last later and it is imperative that we keep Christ at the center of church and Christianity. Another reason scores of churches have lost their power is because they act like the world not the Lord. We need to get back to basics and get a burden on saving souls not big buildings or budgets.
“Rocky” & “Rambo” both were not afraid to bleed, nor were they ever embarrassed by blood. Gov. Jesse Ventura made a cult statement in the movie: “Predator” when he said: “I ain’t got time to bleed.” Well, fortunately for us, my Savior stepped out of Heaven and into Earth to bleed for me and mankind. Today, one reason the Christian Church is weak is because many preachers, pundits and professional pharisees saw fit to try to down play or remove the red blood of Christ from our conversation. Friend, our power comes from the crimson red blood that dripped out of Jesus’ veins and because it was shed we could be saved. Too many in ministry are playing the music but are missing the notes therefore it could very well be a smashing cymbal to the Ear of Almighty God. My motto has always been why preach if you don’t preach with power.
Today, the church too often relies on its laurels and not the Lord. Our success is in Christ not crowds. It is in Beulah Land not big buildings or budgets. It is in the cross not a cause. It is on the Person of Jesus - “The Prince of Peace” not a personality, performance or program. It’s in personal purity not finding purpose professionally. We need to return to righteousness and a hunger and thirst for God not goods. We chase “stars” and not the Son. The church may have “cash” but it lacks class if Christ is not the Head of His House. Let me slow down here because I was starting to get ready to preach
If you recall in that first fight against “Clubber Lang” in ROCKY III, Rocky became rich in wealth and poor in work ethic. He relied on his past success not his future sacrifices. He thought he could just show up and still win. What happened? Clubber cleaned his clock and rung Balboa’s bell. The tragic truth why he lost that first fight was three fold: “He lost the edge and “eye of the tiger.” Secondly, past success kills as much as future failures. Lastly, his manager and mentor, Mickey Goodmill dying certainly helped take his mind out of the game. The battle is truly won in the mind. You can be all heart but if your head is not in the game you are going down for the count. The Bible is true: “A double minded man is unstable in ALL his ways.” Henry Ford was right: “If you think you can or can’t - you’re right!” Jesus said: “As a man thinketh - so is he.” We need to get a check up from the neck up because we are in the final rounds of the fight of our lives. Satan is still a roaring lion, looking to devour anyone and anything in his path.
Today, the church has got to get back to basics and willing to work like never before. We have taken our eyes of Christ and the Great Commission to seek and save those that are lost. The reason Rocky was reduced to the canvas in the second round of that first fight was not just his lack of preparation (didn’t put on the Full Armor of God) but he went to battle with his mentor dying. Today, the Church is guilty at times as acting if our Mentor, Master & Messiah (Jesus) is dead. The truth is that the Lord lives, He reigns and He is coming back. We are victors NOT victims.
No doubt, in ministry personally and the Church corporately, we have taken some serious shots. We have been bruised, beat, bloodied, badgered and dangled on the ropes more than Rocky in all six installments. However, the beauty about bruises is that they do heal. The Bible notes: “The Lord is coming back for a Bride (church) without spot or blemish.” We have been down but not out. We have been bruised but not broken. We have been exhausted but not extinguished. In the classic words of Rocky’s manager as Rocky lie on the cold Philadelphia pavement in “ROCKY V: “Get UP, because Mickey loves you!” Then the theme song comes on, the trumpet blast blarring: “Gonna Fly Now” and Rocky replies: “Yo, I ain’t hear no bell.”
The morale of the story is the bell (Gabriel’s trumpet) hasn’t blown yet and with God’s great grace, we can still “rise up as wings of eagles” and fight not only for another day but finish the race that Christ called us to run. How? Because more than Mickey - our Master and Messiah loves us, in our Corner and He still fights our battles. The blessing about bruises and beatings is that which doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. With surviving comes confidence and with the Word we can talk back to the enemy and like Balboa at the bell come out swinging for one more round. Time is running and like Rocky told “Clubber Lang” at the start of their second fight: “Go For It!”
Today, the church cannot nor will not be pushed around any longer. Like that precious preacher of years ago said: “I have read the back of the Book and we win!” Today, tonight and all our tomorrow’s may the “real” Christians’ stand up, be accounted for and swing for the fence, serve the Savior and spend the rest of our days living for the Lord. Remember this - it is not wrong to be knocked down but to stay down. The war is won to those despite taking shots, knocked down and around but endured and actually have their head and hands held high when the bell sounds. Victory is ours because we are on the “winning side” with Christ. As Sly would say: “Keep Punching!”

Sly & Frank - Los Angeles, CA (age 13) - 1985
One of my favorite Christian singers of all-time is multiple Dove Award Winner - NICOLE C MULLEN. Her smash hits: “Redeemer,” “I AM,” and “When I Call on Jesus” have ministered to millions and her tracks exalt Christ while breaking down barriers.
It was my pleasure to meet her on the PRAISEFEST “Cruise with a Cause” in 2007, to the Bahamas and she was a featured singer and it was my pleasure to preach on the ship. This interview aired in May 2009, on my radio program “FRANKLY SPEAKING” on American Family Radio and Nicole was so gracious to be a guest to share about life, love and the Lord.
A special thanks to her husband, David who made the connection for Nicole to call in. Nicole is not only an amazing singer and song writer but quite the preacher too! She gets rolling during our interview. LOOK OUT Bishop TD Jakes! Visit www.NicoleCMullen.com for more info. The video below is Nicole singing at a WOMEN OF FAITH event and you better put on your seatbelt because this sister can flat out sing. God bless you & Enjoy!

First, I would like to introduce to you the “GAME BREAKER”. Perhaps you know of one that comes to mind or you may have been one in your younger years on the playground of your youth. Regardless, if it was Michael Jordan jumping over Craig Ehlo and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers and hitting the game winning jumper at the buzzer with the whole world watching or San Francisco 49er great, Joe Montana finding Dwight Clark with “THE CATCH” in the back of the end-zone against the Dallas Cowboys at Candlestick Park en route to winning the Super Bowl or a “dark horse” coming out of nowhere to win the Kentucky Derby - all of these are attributes of “game breakers.” Just when you thought the game was over, the crowd could head home and the betters in Vegas were already mentally counting their cash; the “gamers” stepped up and the game turned on a dime and faster than a Ferrari with no brakes the game was completely changed right before your very eyes. Some fans elated and others absolutely crushed.
Contestant number two enters in and we have the “ROOM CHANGER”. Perhaps you have been at a party or event when one of them walk or waltz into the room and literally it feels that the air changes, the music fades and all eyes in the room are now fixed on someone at the other end of the room. Perhaps it is a powerful politician, a beauty queen, Hollywood icon or rock star equipped with electricity and/or an entourage that would make the late James Brown proud. You’ve seen it - the papparazi start chasing, flash bulbs begin popping, women begin screaming and the room seems hopping over to that individual. It is something to behold if you have never experienced it first hand.
Behind door number three we find the “IDENTITY TAKER”. These bandits are not restricted to race, religion or reality. They strike in various venues and a variety of wicked ways. Some strike senior citizens whom are easy prey while others hit at random. Some steal credit cards and forge someone’s signature and enjoy exotic vacations, lavish lifestyles at another’s expense and begin to jet set, live large and hurt many in the process while they wine and dine on someone else’s dime. These folks resemble leaches because they cling on to others and suck the lifeblood out of others. Instead of being laborious they are lazy and like a drug addict desire and demand a “quick fix” now opposed to working for it later. They are thieves and thugs and are a major menace to society. If you have ever had anyone steal your wallet, purse or credit cards it can be a nightmare not only to try to recoup the damages in dollars but cleaning up your credit is usually more of a problem and can take much longer to restore. Personally, these folks resemble people whom would buy another’s trophy at a yard sale and prominently display it on their top shelf as if they earned it. How you can really appreciate a win if you didn’t work for it, deserve it or achieve it while playing by the rules.
In closing, despite these three contestants, champions and cons we can only point to One Person Who is a “CALENDAR SNAPPER”. When Jordan, Joe Montana, Ali, Angela Jolie, Brad Pitt, Elvis Presley, Britney Spears, Tiger Woods, Hannah Montana, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Oprah or Usher was “ushered” into this world - NONE of them snapped the calendar in half. When Jesus was born it went from B.C. (Before Christ) to A.D. (After Death). That is just one reason alone, why I am a Christian because Christ is the centerpiece of civilization. He was born to die for our sins. Clear and simple - end of story. Not any more complicated than that. We do a disservice when we add more to the Gospel.
Yes, I loved Jordan as much as anyone. For years, I wanted to “be like Mike.” Growing up, I played countless hours of hoops in rain, sleet and snow. Traveled all over to shoot ball in driveways, gymnasiums and arenas while daydreaming day and night about playing ball. Yes, it was great fun to watch Michael at the top of his game and you knew you had a chance with M.J. on your team despite how much the Bulls were down by and what little time may be remaining on the clock; but it’s a fact that Jordan missed just many jumpers at the buzzer than he made them! Yes, I love him because he wanted the ball even when the entire arena knew it was going to him but the truth is he was not perfect.
Arguably, no one could change the climate of a room like Elvis Presley at the zenith of his popularity but even the most handsome and gorgeous humans are made of flesh and that fades eventually. As immature, insecure and insensitive as those whom steal the identity of another the truth is you cannot ever find freedom or experience true peace and purpose unless you meet first hand, Jesus Christ , the Son of the Living God. The Carpenter from Galilee and the Messiah of the Universe. The answers in life are not found in the “stars” of Hollywood but the Son of Heaven.

Silver Dollar

What Are You Worth?
My hero, mentor & friend -Evangelist Tim Lee shared a story that I heard over 15 years ago and it is as applicable today as it was then. In May 2009, I had the pleasure to preach chapel at Southern Maryland Christian Academy in White Plains, MD. For every year (since 1996), I have spoken twice per year (Fall & Spring) to their school and last year had the high honor to give their graduation speech. Honestly, after a group has heard over 30 of your messages even “Mother Goose” can run low on stories.
The night before my message, God reminded me of something Dr Tim Lee said and I tweaked it and talked about “value” and Honoring Christ with our life and lips. In each pocket, I had two coins. Without games or gimmicks, I grabbed them both out of pockets in unison during my remarks and lifted them high into the air and asked without hesitation to the student body: “Friends, this is not rocket science - What do I have in my hands?” The entire school screamed: “TWO QUARTERS!”
I shared with them to their surprise: “Wrong.” In my left hand was a quarter but in my right hand I held a Silver Dollar. From there, faster than a Ferrari with no brakes I shared with them that in 1978, President Jimmy Carter issued the Department of Treasury & U.S. Mint to come out with a Silver Dollar honoring the first woman to be on a coin. Susan B. Anthony became a household name and she appeared on count-less coins.
Less than three years in circulation, the government ceased making those same coins. Why? It was “worth a dollar” but it resembled, felt like and acted like it was worth only a quarter. Even as a teen, I recall putting a Silver Dollar in the Coca-Cola machine (when they were 50 cents) and expected to get two quarters in change. However, the vending machine acted like I needed to add another quarter. Why? Because despite its dollar value it read it as worth only a quarter.
Friends, for those that have bowed the knee, confessed your sins and accepted Christ as your Savior, Sacrifice and Substitute on Calvary’s cruel cross - we are blood bought, heirs of Heaven and kids of the King. No question. However, the problem is when we laugh at off color comments, fudge on our finances, slander our friends in the back, sleep around to climb the corporate ladder, look out for Number One opposed to Jesus - the only One worthy of our worship; we are worth Christ but act like the world.
As a teen, I thought the difference between a quarter and Silver Dollar was only 75 cents. Today, it is much greater. “Life and Death” hangs in the balance and Lord knows, I have failed many times but am trying to emulate and imitate Christ with my life like never before. My prayer is that you will join me because we bear “His” Name as Christians’ and are held at a higher standard. Never again, would I want to lead someone astray by not aligning my life with the Lord’s. People are watching and we better be walking right or friends can be “LEFT” behind.
The fact is that a “lost” and dying world (like cashiers and Coca-Cola machines) often cannot tell the difference by the way we walk and talk. How tragic - how true. May this simple but powerful illustration remind us all that we are Amabassadors of the Almighty broadcasting as born-again billboards to those on our block that Jesus is the “Way” to live. The “Truth” that commands an honorable conduct and the only “Life” worth following. Child of God - “you have been bought with a price and go glorify God.”
In closing, live in such a way that mankind makes no mistake of Who’s you are and where you are going. God bless you and go with God.
